Whether your boat is new or used, racing or cruising, we can handle the delivery of your sailboat.

Give us the boat's specifications, departure point, and destination, and we'll take care of the rest. We'll provide you with a quote, and then a delivery contract will be drawn up.

Rates vary depending on the type of boat, its size, the distance to be covered, the time required for preparation, and the number of crew members. The skipper has general professional liability insurance, which covers any claims related to his or her liability.

How delivery is organized

Three successive stages

Image

At first

Beforehand, you will be asked for:

  • An inventory of the boat, its condition, and the latest maintenance of the machinery (engines, generator, watermakers, etc.)
  • An inventory of the onboard safety equipment
  • Official boat documents

The crew's organization and transfer to the boat will be planned.

Before departure

On board before departure, a general inspection of the boat is carried out:

  • Inspection of all onboard equipment, inspection of the rigging and sails, condition of the machinery, tools, spare parts, inspection of onboard safety equipment, etc.
  • Installation of protection (new boat)
  • A consultative assessment is carried out at the time of the delivery contract to ensure the boat is as reliable as possible for navigation.
  • For ocean crossings, additional preparation time is required.
  • Boat optimization, such as the installation of chafing protection, replacement of worn ropes, even oversheathing of halyards, installation of lifelines, and possibly a fairing.
  • Provisions (water, food, and diesel)
  • A weather forecast and routing. Based on the analysis, we will provide you with the time and date of departure and the estimated duration of the delivery trip and planned stops.

Security

  • For ocean crossings, we install a tracking beacon on board to allow you to track the boat during its delivery.
  • For coastal legs, position tracking will be sent by mobile phone. The skipper will also be equipped with a satellite phone and an Iridium Go for ocean crossings so that he can download weather files and communicate by email.
  • The crew will always be equipped with their personal equipment (life jacket, raincoat, sleeping bag, AIS/PLB beacons).

Cleaning and storage

  • A sailing report and a technical assessment of the boat will be shared with the client.
  • The keys will be handed over at the harbor master's office if necessary, and check-in formalities will also be completed.
  • A thorough cleaning and tidying of the boat, both inside and out, will be completed.
  • Protective covers will be installed.
  • Winter storage of the boat, if necessary.
